Here's my take on this challenge, this week!

I used echo park paper's & their "everybody loves christmas" line, but just look at those colours, i love them anyway, i used white card stock to stamp 3 butterfly's, cut them out & layerd them up, i used stickles & pearls MY FAV!!!!

I am sad to see this christmas go, it was one of the best christmasses we have had in this house & may well be a last??

I was really bumed i didnt take any photo's on christmas eve, i was so rushed off my feet this day & dont intend to be next christmas eve!

We hope to move sometime THIS year, but we'l se how it goes?? We are going to live beside the seaside!!!! How exciting is that!!

When i move
I want my new house with lots of space & the kitchen to have a huge pantry, i want a space where i can scrap that isnt my bedroom & a seperate dinning room, my boys want a room each & i want a shower too.
He wants a garage to keep all "his" crap & a garden with NO grass

Ya think thats too much to ask??

I could go on & ask for a seperate utility space, but in british homes is a luxury & too much!!

I want a house that needs decorating & doing up, because thats what i love to do

Do i want too much??

Valentine's Creation & a Picture frame

I been falling in love with ECHO PARK alot recently & one of the lines VICTORIA GARDENS i didnt like so much when it first came out, BUT i thought it was perfect for my creation i had in mind!

Anyway a while ago my cousin gave me a wooden picture frame, i didnt know what i could put in it, i had no picture's BIG enough, i got rid of the glass & the back board & painted the frame white, it was left empty on the shelf for a while not sure what i was going to do next.

I have seen this idea going around the web, net & boards for some time so i had ago at this myself, im liking my result

I really enjoyed playing with victoria gardens, that i went on playing & made a THANK YOU card

SO talking of picture frames, im finding myself in love with frames at the moment too, i was out shopping with the girl's on friday & we walked into this shop that was closing down, there was a notice saying " all fixture's & fittings for sale" & i came across this frame & knew it was comming home with me!! Im so excited about this frame, as it was ONLY £7!!!
The picture isnt very good because i had the camera on the wrong setting & in a rush to take the photo & he wouldnt pose again, boo

Im thinking it would make a good page about how silly we are at time so i posed too, but gary being gary, introuded on MY photo op, lol

But i got mine

& now its housed on my desk in my scrap space showing my recent page's

SO....a big HUGE photo heavy post

Its been a beautiful day where i am here in the uk, cold but clear beautiful blue skies & the sun has been out too, thats what confusses kaci, she says to me "mum when is it summer?" ..i say "when the sun comes out" & so maybe i should refrase my word's differently, she thought it was summer & that we could go out to play, lol, unfortunatly our ground is still wet & stodgy, so its a no go, sorry chick x

The air has been nice & crisp & clear & been that nice that i was able to go outside & take better photo's of my pages, some more pages of my christmas album, here

Good~Bye Christmas

Looks beautiful doesnt it? Like a treasure chest full of sparkly gems & treasure, oo rrrr. But its good bye to christmas 2011, we will never see you again but we had a very good & happy christmas i am grateful & blessed. I didnt go ott like i normally do i didnt shout at my children or husband, & they were all happy & got on with each other, MOST of the time {shush i really cant knock it!!} we definatly had someone looking over us this year, we wernt skinted right out but we all got what we wanted more, im happy for that & sad to see christmas go.

So whats next? EASTER is in the shop's already can you believe it??? In my world, we have valentines day & my birthday next, geesh give over ppl!!! hehe

How's you day been??

My day has been productive i had a huge list of things to do, BLAAAA things to do like housework & more house work & putting things away, does that tie in with housework even? Anyway, im PROUD of myself because i ticked all my boxes, i even had time to do this

& i found this a while ago on facebook & thought it was hilarious TRUE but hilarious!!

I have never done "my word" thing for each year, but this year i have decided as im feeling like im on cloud 9, i have so many plans & so many directions i want to take, so many places i want to visit & so much stuff i want to forfill & in hope that i get to do any of it, i will be ME, i did think of using the word CRAZY but everyone who knows me already knows that im as CRAZY as they come, so im going to be ME, those that dont like can jog on, those that want join my journey...enjoy the ride!!!

This will be my last post til next year, ta da, ok not funny but i was going to make this a picture post showing you some of the first pages of my december christmas album, BUT as i been learning more about my camera & been "experimenting" you really DONT wanna see what i took, its not what i took its "how" they turned out

....{a bit blue} {shush} hehe but i shot away all day & did my family's head in & been carrying on experimenting, saying that it reminds me of those "carry on..." films, okay so i'l stop blabbering, i have dinner to make my stomach tells me so

deck the halls

& everything else, loads been going on all stuff christmassy & festive, the kids wrote thier letters to santa

We made some gingerbread men & ate them ALL hehe

We had corey~max birthday, he was in a rush to get outta here & didnt want us to sing happy birthday typical pre~teen!!

Costco cake wash lush as per normal, he loved it

They wanted some too

We "decked" the halls & put the tree up

I got chairs for the table, we had the table but no chairs & so now we got some yeah im pleased we are all going to be sitting around the table for christmas dinner!!

& we made some more ginger bread, house & a tree

Kaci made a snowflake out of a christmas tree cutter

& we made some gingerbread to hang too

& i have been trying to figure out "how" to speed dry fruit slices, i want to hang too, i sliced oranges, limes & lemons, google told me to bake them on 220 for 2-3 hours but they burned after half an hour?? lol

Looking forward to more festive~ness we have 4 more sleep's is anyone else this excited, i cant help it i just LOVE christmas!!!!!!!!!!

feeling REALLY festive

We have been so busy with lots of festive things going on its taken the last 3 days for my kids to write out there cards to thier friends, not that they have that many they only have a box of 40 cards each from the pound shop to send out, but they are busy too with there every other things that they have to do on the evening's, we been singing christmas songs & putting up decoration's, i havent had time to scratch my arse!!!

I wanted to show you this that i had made, i planned on showing you each figure for each day up to the 25th along with my december daily journalling but that didnt work out either

I have been so busy with getting the house prepared & sorted out & doing things with the kids that i havent had time to commit to my cyber world as much, i havent had anything to show or tell becoz i havent had time to scrap or even think about it, but its been GREAT im not complaining i LOVE this time of year!!!

I will try to blog more this week as i have a weeks worth of journalling & a few photos to catch up on, for now i'l leave you with this photo, is my FAV so far, corey~max & kaci writting thier letters to santa!!

baubles & beads, baubles & beads

Im still here ive not fallen off the face of the earth or anything, im just really busy with getting the house ready, ie, cleaning out room by room de~cluttering, sorting out whats rubbish & what is for the charity shop, i love this time of year, im cleaning galore in ready for the festive season, this year my festive spirit is ALIVE & KICKING!!!! & im loving it, im so itching, very itching to get those decorations up & make my house look pretty & sparkly!!!

Today i went christmas shopping with my friend, we bought so much & could of easily kept going, i bought tons of baubles & beads im going mad for baubles & beads in all sorts of shapes & colours this year, BIG TIME!!!

Do you do a colour scheme or theme each year?
I do, but this year its all comming out!!! Each year i buy a few new decorations in what ever colour scheme im thinking of, but this year every colour is popping out at me, & im just sucking it all up babay!!!

My husband complains each year becoz only certain colours come out, "whats the point of having all of these decorations, if your not going to get them out" he says, ...HUSBANDS just dont undersatnd, *sigh* this year he's going to be shocked!!!

Im really itching for christmas its going to be fun we have my cousins comming over for lunch & my mum & brother for dinner, i have so many plans im just crazy thinking about them mad as a hatter is me, lol, for the now i need to get my house more ready & once we have celebrated corey~max birthday, he says im allowed to decorate for christmas. x

TWO birtdays & TWO pages x x

On thursday it was my daughters 8th birthday, she woke up to loads of balloons in her room & i got this idea from "house of smiths" its a tradition they do on thier childrens birthdays & i knew kaci would LOVE to wake up to tons of ballons in her room also

I didnt realise until uploading that they are a little blurry but you know what it doesnt matter it was 7 o clock in the morning it was still dark outside so lights had to be put on, but im glad i have these photo's, they are still our memories & i will still scrap them!

Then the very next day is my oldest son mikey's 14th birthday, he didnt want any balloons so we just sang happy birthday to him

POSE THRILLER
I dont think i have ever scrapped halloween photo's so quickly before i have been excited to recieve pink paislee PHANTOM i was pleased as punch with our outfits this year & so mojo flowed easily when creating this page

I HATE my handwritting its messy & not level & i forgot that i DO NOT write on my pages, so here im glad its a hidden part of the page!!

LOVE my huge "fully purple" splats

& this is a photo taken on someones mobile phone at a friend of a friends housewarming party, its blurry & the colour on the photo is wrong but again my memories, im glad im not ashamed to scrap blurry photo's becoz i love how this page turned out!! ...Be Crazy

BIRTHDAYS

In between halloween & christmas is my 3 kids birthdays, kacis & mikeys a day after each other & then corey~max is ten days before christmas, i love this time of year becoz its full of celebration, & before you see any christmas going on here, your going to see alot of birthday celebrations going on first!!!

I want to show show you these wood stars i had for ages, probally years now & you know when you buy something with something in mind for it & then it doesnt work how you imagined, this is what happened to these poor stars & so they go put to the back of the cuboard with the rest of "i dont use that much" box.

Now a few days ago i sorted out this cuboard & found these stars again & i knew what i wanted to do, i knew before i found these stars that i wanted to make a few more birthday celebration decorations & so these came in handy right on time!!

Straight away i pulled out my TATTERED ANGELS mist, for the boy star, i used sun sisters & keylime pie for the fonts & for the star i used chalkboard mint chocolate chip & a cheep blue mist, i also used pearl to cover the lot & before i stuck the fonts on i used chandilier glam shine around the edges & dragged in into the middle of the star with a fan brush

I used the same technique with the girl star but used pop rocks, popsicle & pearl for the fonts & coral reef & a cheep pink mist, coverd with pearl & used pink lipstick glam shine to glitter up the edges of the stars even more

I love them & cant wait to hang them with the rest of the decorations i have made & put together previously, thanks for stopping by

So halloween is over, boo, but i have these photo's & lots more to scrap *yeay* with my new phantom thats just arived *yeay* {picture later on in the post}

On saturday we went to wookie hole & did a halloween ghost tour, it was fanastic, we will definatly be going again, maybe for christmas, we wernt allowed to take photo's boo, but i did sneek these two in! hehe

& i havent orderd a scrapbook order like this in so long i cannot even remember???

HES BACK HES HOME

I never missed him this much before in my life, but hubs arrived back home on saturday, he was'nt even in the door & we had to go & sort out a bank problem, then he was in the door for half an hour & took corey~max to a football game, back home & we all got ready ready for wookie hole, we went on a halloween ghost tour & i recommend it, very much worth the money!!

lthough we were not allowed to take photo's i sneeked in 2 not sure how they turned out, havent looked at them yet?

Sunday we chilled & today was back to normal routine, HAPPY HALLOWEEN, we had a little party for the kids as its a school night it was all over by 8:30, boo. But we all got dressed up & had fun, & had stupid fun, did some trick or treat & gave sweets/candy out to kids also, LOTS of picture's to follow

But for the now, sweet dreaaaaaams, MWAHAHAHAHA

This really happened seriously LOOK

I was looking through some photo's as i have time today to do some scrapping & want to get motivated, im thinking, blaaa. But then i though i have some RECENT photo's on my phone & even though they are not the best of quality they are still my memories i still want to scrap them, i dont keep up with the jones for the better picture.

I came across this photo & remembered taking it on monday when i went to visit my friend in knowle {my old community before i moved here} i found myself forever saying !i'l come visit you" & then before long a year had gone by & another, my bad!!!

So i was determined to visit, my children were friends with her children, so it was a lovly day out to reminisce all over again with a friend i havent seen in a while, i took a few photo's of the kids & this is a photo of my friend becky her son & a cat she got off us when one of our cat had kittens over 4 yrs ago, they named her tigger, the only editing i have done to this photo is to try & make it a little clearer & sized it, other than that this is really how it came out!!!

An emotional train wreck

Is what comes to mind when i think about how im feeling today, im happy & positive, im sad & alone does that even make sence at all feeling sad & happy at the same time??? then i think my husband is still not here & wont be until saturday.

my daughter has gone to play with her friend all day long & wont be back until this evening & my teenagers are in xbox land, they have a mate comming over to stay later on & i have to collect kaci, but until then im not needed, ouch

I could do some scrapping but my brain aint with it for that much concentration, im going to do some baking & i have laundry to do aswell so off i go by myself, eh

This day is a special day for all our family its a sad day but its ok as time goes on, more answers are answerd in my heart, you see 8yrs ago today god called for my baby girl she was 13 & a half weeks grown in my tummy, i had no choice, no say in the matter, she left my tummy, we are sad that she didnt servive but on the other hand if she did we wouldnt have had kaci with us today, its very bittersweet but at the same time its special.

We set off sky lanterns on each, we all wrote messages on them, here are some of the messages

Today is especialy hard becoz im without my love, my husband, he is away working for the whole week he went yesturday & wont be back until saturday, im feeling???

I can here in my end of the world, its lovly & warm in the day with a slight cold breeze & then in the evening the cooler breeze hits the ground with beautiful autumny smells in the air, i have started to make soup's its such a cozy feeling, i have made some foods & stored away for christmas, my christmas puddings & some cheesecakes too & the blankets are comming out in the evening, i bought a lush yankee candle last week & we light it, smelling smell of cinnomon stick candle flowing around the house is perfect, looking forward to the next couple of months

My son is a crack pot, he'l do anything to make you laugh, here this morning he says "looking at me mum, im albert racing-stien"

I managed to scrap some pages this morning also, this one is of my boys on thier first day of school, corey starting yr7 & mikey starting yr9, i used the crate paper's from "my scrapbook nook sept kit"

& here is a page using "old" {a yr old} photo's you see i normally scrap in order, i had the urge to scrap had time on my hands but no photo's i found these & always wanted to scrap them as soon as they were took, we out with the kids one day & saw this bathroom display outside B&Q, a hardware warehouse, i dared corey-max to sit on it & he did!!! I used my sons t-shirt for inspiration

I used a plain white sheet of cardstock for a base to spray my lace for another project, i liked the patterns it made on my sheet of paper & thought it would be great to use a my custom made pattern paper & great for this challenge i was preparing for

I had alot of photo's og my son acting crazy & wanted them all on the same page, so this was a great idea as i knew my page was going to be really busy

& this is the finished page

Lots been going on this week, we found out that kaci's god father passed away & his funeral will be on thursday29th so excuse me if im a little scarce, he was a good man & its so sad he had to be taken from his family so soon, but he is in a much better place now x

So i havent really had any mojo or umph to do anything much, i think im comming down with a cold & am tired all the time?? On one of my forum's http://www.scrap-friendzy.com/forum/index.php we been talking alot about sketch's & i rememberd when i used to create sketch's for snobby walrus & that i still had all of them, i found them on one of mymemory stick's & thought i'd share this one with you, for a lift

I uploaded photos from my camera, i know its sounds simple but for ages i did'nt know how to do it, & then i lost the phone lead anyway & now i have found it & uploaded all my photo's i have taken on my camera phome for a year & a half now.

This photo was taken about a year & half ago, ive not edited it at all, i have just turned it becoz it was side ways, this is how good my camera phone takes photo's

Ahhhh im so excited i'l be taking more photo's for definate now....on my camera phone, hehe

bbq goofin picture's organization & first day of school photo's

I have been trying to tidy my scrap space for days now & all i can do is just re-organize everything & it seems to better

I went a bit tab crazy & made a recipe book for all those peices of paper im printing off recipe's & have some written down too, so now they are all in one place!!

See that hybrid frame, i love that frame!!!

On saturday we had a BBQ, whats a BBQ without the kids goofin around??

I been home cooking every recipe i been collecting recently too, home made lasagne, home made bread i then turn into garlic bread i even made my own garlic butter!!

& then on monday they went back to school!!!

My baby boy is in senior school!!!!!

Off he goes {excuse my neglected front yard, we havnt got around to that bit yet!!}

My baby girl & baby of the family is in junior school!!!!!

I think im still in shock & havent realised yet that my babies are growin up, whoooosh before my eye's is so not fair.

Strawberry Jam!

I always wanted to know how to make jam, i made it once in collage but never keept those notes, all i know is that it was made with a ton of suger!!

So i found this recipe, on the martha stewart site, it's quick & so easy!!!
You'l need:
1 quart hulled strawberry's
1/2 cup suger
2 tbsp of fresh lemon juice

Food process the strawberrys
Transfer to skillet with suger & juice
Cook on med-high until jam thickens & bubbles
for 9-10mins transfer to jars & cool at
room temp

You can store this stuff in the fridge for upto 10days!!!

Ive not made this yet as i only just found the recipe, oh but im going to!!

I didnt cry when i said good bye

Im aware that this may be a random post...im a random person, it's within my blood my personality, it's what make's me unique, it's waht make's me hippy chick...pinkalishious....sarah x

I sat here this evening & watched marley & me {for the 1000 time} cuddled up on the sofa with kaci, my DD, fat boy {juke} & ernie our staffy's, we are very much dog ppl. & for the first time ever i realised "i didnt cry" when i said good bye to my baby, see if you ever watched marley & me you'l know that in the film, she lost her first baby, of all the times i watched tonight slapped me in the face & i cried, i always cry through the film no natter how many times i watched it, but this time made me realise "i didnt cry" when they told her there's no heart beat all of my memories came rushing back, the moment's when i was phoning gary to tell him, the moment i phoned my mum becoz she was closer to getting to me than gary & I wanted support....a cuddle, then going home to nothing knowing there was going to be nothing becoz the baby was not far enough in gestation for me to give her a funeral to say good bye properly.

There's nothing special about today other than the fact that we cuddled up to watch a film, with my baby DD who's now almost 8yrs old & kaci wouldnt have been concieved if louise would have servived & i am eternaly grateful for all of my blessing's, but will always remember louise.

& the other is, posted this page on wednesday evening all over the net & places i visit, my galleries & 2peas, WELL! i woke up today to find it had reached top3 for most liked & most book marked, im so happy!!!

I also posted it on teresa collins facebook, she liked it!!
These are big deal's to me & so this has made me really happy, im on cloud 29!!!

My hybrid/extended page class

I hope you like this page {this blog post is loaded with photo's}

Becoz with this page comes two amazing feature's that im about to show you, the first one is the hybrid part of it for those of you that "dont do digi" or is not sure what its about, maybe even sceptical about it, im going to show you here & the second is that its not really a two pager but its not really a folder either, i wanted to do just a one page, that i can slide into my page protecter but i wanted to use lots of journalling & maybe space for other photo's i have also, here is how i put this page together.

I knew roughly what i wanted & how i wanted my page to look like so first i googled "picture frames" & then i googled "swirl's" & found these image's

I played with the picture frame in paintshop & changed its colour & size to slighly smaller than my intended picture, i also turned my photo black & white becoz the colours to my page didnt match the colours in my picture & i printed all of my images off onto normal white printing cardstock.

Cut my photo to size & the frame

I wanted to decorate my frame so i added mini rhinstones to the inner paert of the frame & stickle's

Then i used the swirl image, i needed the shape of the image transparent to my page & i dont have a light box, so i used my paper peicing tool & pierced the paper to the shape of most of the swirl's

Like this, can you see the hole's?

Then i took five lenghts of cotton & threaded them throw a needle all at the same time

Tye a note in the end

& at the same time thread the beads a few at a time & glue down along the dots

I followed the main spine of the swirl through to the end & as i came across a branch off i let each piece of cotton off the needle.

at the end of each branch i finished by piercing through the paper & securing the cotton threads at the back with cellotape

So the front of the page looks like this, i added a cameo charm at the end of the last lowest hanging bead swirl

I also printed off some alphas

I cut them out & inked the edge's with tim holtz spun suger

I added them to my page with some other glitterd alpha's & a stamped word

But i wanted to add a lot of journalling tell my reader all about the day this picture was taken, so i made a hinge for the front page to sit on & so i got more space to maybe add more picture's that i'l print out later?

& this is how it all turned out

Home cooking & a hybrid class

The week-end has been busy but relexing, does that make sence? lol What i mean is weve done loads of stuff at our leasure, get it a bit more? Im very good at confusing ppl!! hehe

So one of thing's weve been doing alot of recently is home cooking, take a look at our sausage & veg hotpot

& we had banoffee pie for pudding

That was our dinner on sunday, i also made some bread but didnt eat it until today as toast, it was lush!!

So i have also been working on a HYBRID class, i cant show you yet as im still working on it but soon, wanna seek peek??

We are off to a boat festival tomorrow, im soaking up this school holiday big time & loving it, my kids arnt so enthuiastic about it, but im working on shaking them out of it {not literally!}

Our FIRST road trip

We dont really do much as a family the 5 of us together, as gary does shift work & has 2 random days off depending on his last shift which is uaually a late or a early, he'd rather veg out at home, we do stuff at home together all the time which is great but i'd love for us to do stuff outside also, every time i sugest something he's like urrrrr, so i dont bother anymore.

Yesturday HE sugested we go to visit costco IN CARDIFF which is like 40 miles away, so...me....loving road trips & all & love doing stuff together, jumped to the chance, the kids wernt so enthusiasic about it & made the journey there not so nice even though it was hot & we got stuck in traffic jam for 2 & half hrs on the moterway, we was cool & tried to make happy all the way.

{here i caught a "newport" sign} becoz the cardiff road was closed & on top of it all had to do a D-tour. so capturing this sign was second best, hehe

One car in front of us keept on swerving, like he was going around something, & we joked about how he saw an invisable pillar in the road...the kids wernt impressed at all & told us to shut up, so then we were giggling {like little kids} becoz we though it was funny {its one of those funny's where you just had to be there} & they were like the perents telling us off, hehe

It was hot & stuffy & we all just wanted to get out the car & get hydrated & food, we found a mc donalds i wasnt happy about but we were all hungry & thursty & wasnt sure when the next stop would be, corey asked "are we going home now?" {he is such a home boy!!! Like we went all the way to cardiff just to eat mc donald's, i think not, we could do that in bristol!!!

So we didnt reach our destination becoz the satnav died & we didnt have the wire connection Gary got all excited becoz we had a A-Z in the boot, found out it was just bristol & bath, oh. BUT we did find a beautiful large park, it had an outdoor pool {our kids didnt go in becoz we didnt have towels or swim wear with us}, but we stayed took photo's & had fun the sun was shinning & it turned out to be a great day. When we left they all had ice-cream, it was ok but runny,*tut*

Didnt take long in getting back as the traffic had totally gone on the way home, the kids are happy to be home & we said NEXT time we decide to do somthing like this, we'l check the roads & take the satnav connection wire & water!!!

Gary checked online, when we got home, when we had stopped to get the A-Z out the boot, little did we know at the time that we were just at the end of the road & around the corner, we would have reached costco, BUMMER oh well the day hasnt gone wasted becoz we spent time together & had fun MOST of the time, love my family x x

Can i saftly say its SUMMER TIME???????

We have had a really great week end, saturday we spent the day with my BFF her dd & some of my family, we had a BBQ & the kids played in the pool, it was great!!

Then on sunday we went to spend some time with DH's brother wife & our niece, she's really into horses, they have a small ranch & was attending a horse show, we had loads of fun & i even got to ride a horse for the first time ever, i tell you it was high!!
I got some really great photo's & i love this one of my lou

My new lounge & other stuff!!

Well i havent got a "before" photo's to show you but i do have "after" photo's to show you!!

Do you see that canvas i made that myself, using sticky vynal cut out letter's with my slice, stuck them down & painted all over it!!

See this picture shelf i made, if you look closly enough, im not sure if you can se it?? I modge podged it, with the sparkle glue, i think it look's cool IRL

We still have alot to do, we are wanting a huge chunky wooden fire surround, & ive seen a beautiful black glass chandilier, we still have lots more idea's but this is it for now, x

Do you also remember these few bits of stationary? Well i altered the pink note book here http://alterdprojectinc.blogspot.com/ & i have just altered the green file folder too, look, this was my intension when buying it anyway's.

& the inside, i used up some old chrismas paper i had for a while!!

Saturday 11th june

Wanted to show you two nice photo's today, ..we visited mil + fil, the kids love travelling up to see thier nan + banps, they live in weston super mare, which is a half hour road trip away & it was a good day, the first photo i wanted to show you was this garden, it's kind of like a fairytale garden & you want to start singing, mary mary quiet contrary how does your garden grow, kwim?

It's mil's garden & she has all sorts growing, strawberry's, rasberry's, cherry's, peas, green beans, tomotoes, the lot, she love's to garden & this is a very good result, i love this garden, but *sigh* i'l never have a garden like it, as i cant grow anything to save my life, even though i try, lol & i hate bees so i dont plant flower's that attract them..:-(

This next picture, is my new scrappy goodies, arnt i a lucky girl!!

DH bought it all for me, on the way home we stopped off at a garden centre, that sells evrything else as well, & had a huge craft section, i picked out the goodies & DH paid, *sigh* im spoiled recently & i do so love him!!

I have a new camera, canon 1100D

I have never been a fan of canon, but the guy in the shop won me over & now i have a canon, & this thing is shmokin!!!!

Here's some picture's that i took today with it, i was so excited & eager to use it & this is what i came up with & i think it's great!!! Im so in love, ok photo's!!

This the most polite, happy, respctful, considerate jamacian man i have ever met & he's the sweetest & he took all day cutting this tree down with a machette in our front garden, worked really really hard!! His team mate tried to rip him off but thats a whole nuther story & he got paid, gary even bought him some cans of guiness!

Kaci on my laptop in our newly wallpaperd bedroom, e still need to put down the floor, put up some shelf's & get rid of some other clutter, my frames for the lounge is another project i want to do & thats a whole nuther project!

& i got this off ebay, i love it & was really excited when it came, i wasnt going to put it up until i had finished the room & leave it as a surprise for G but i could'nt help myself, so then he says "sarah you got the year wrong, it's 1994 not 5" Oh well too late now...ops!

I was going to take picture's of our lounge whilst i was at it with the camera, but then looking though the lense i realised i need to tidy up first & plus it's still a work in progress, so this is all you got so far!

& earnie on the otherside in the kitchen, but you'l have to excuse the hanging washing aswell as gary demolished my washing line with his gardening work & i cant tumble these item's, it's all garys fault, lol.

& *me*, i can believe there's so much of me, i mean i didnt get this good when i took a picture with my nikon, kwim?

Thought i'd share this idea with you also, it's my calender i keep in a binder folder, but when i close it, the pages were starting to get tatty, when i try to find the month i need, kwim? So i saw this flower, its attached to a head band, i bought it this way & i use it to keep my pages & on the month i need, its a fab idea!!

On sunday 5th june, we had two occasions to attend, it was a busy & long day but turned out very great!! First we attended a holy communion, oh that was so special, & then my nephew's birthday, here they are...>

Meet alicia, she is my BFFs little girl & like my second DD, here she is taking her first holy communion. Does'nt she look lush?

& this is harvey, he is 3yrs old & this is his sausage *saushits* party, he LOVES sausages & will eat them all the time if you let him, im not his aunty, im nanny sarah, bless his little cotton sock's x

This is ernie our puppy he is 8 months old now, he is still so cute, he is always happy & wagging his tale

& this is me, my DD thought it was fun to take my picture, oh dear, it was the end of the day it was getting dark & i had a kitchen full of ppl socialising, best way!!lol

OMG, this was on my 21st birthday, i loved me big curly hair & when my hair is long enough again, im definatly getting this perm again, lol happy days

Now i have my babies, & my mum found this one of mikey when he was around 6yrs old, i didnt scrap then but im sure when i scrap these photo's i'l find something to say, lol

& corey-max around 4yrs old, i cant believe how cute my babies are, yeah i know they mine but looking back on these photo's, when corey-max still has baby teeth & all, it's just weired looking at my babies now & thinking where has the time gone/kwim??

& this is kaci when she was around 1 yrs old, she's still look's as cute as ever!!

& now i have to think of something to say on these pages when i scrap them, "HOW" do you scrap page's with photo's you took way before you scrapped?? Any idea's would be great!!!

I'm calling everyone that likes to alter thing's, any thing, anything that can be alterd or made with scrapbook paper, paint, small home objects, etc
I would like to get together a small group of girls to join me here alterdprojectinc.blogspot.com design team for the blog, if you've had experience with presenting tutorials for what you make that would be a bonus but no other experience needed just good clear picture's & details of your picture's & expaining clearly what you are doing. Providing inspiration for your viewer's.

A birthday card

I have'nt made card's for a long time, due to the fact that ppl just dont buy tham, once you tally up how much it cost to make, buy or make an envelope to put the card in, it's alot of money to those that dont realise actually how much it went into making it, time, effort, material's etc

So i decided, im just going to make them for me, which wont be very often just a small stash ready & there for when i need one, most of the time at the last minute!!!

So i made this using the NOOK MAY KIT the lace & butterflies are from the nook april kit & the bling is mine!

It only took me 3ish odd hour's, lol its funny becoz that's longer than i take on creating a page thats twice as big!!

So i can finally show you my boy's bedroom, it's DONE!!!!!!!!

This is the view you get as you walk in

& on the otherside of the room, those sticker's you see on the wall corey-max collected at a gig when he did street dancing he like's them & so do i, so i left them there, there bed use to be there thats why they are there & not by where the bed is now, kwim?

These mirrord stars were a bargin at a "what" store for just 99p each for 4

Yeah they still love teddy's even at the age of 13 & 11 yrs old, lol

Mikey has the top bunk & corey-max on the bottom

These are their hand canvases that they did 2ish odd years ago & i did use to have them in the kitchen, but they wanted them in thier room's & so im brave & said yes!!!

They LOVE thier new room!

Kaci wanted her hand print canvas up too & since we just made another {in the post below} i think this wall is starting to look really effective!

This is part of kaci's room that i didnt show you before becoz, well it was embarrasing!! But its another project i tackled today

Im so love thos glass knob's *smile* lol

The next room is what im working on right now, the front hall, this is the hardest room in the house, but will be so worth it once its done!!

A canvas tutorial

I have been meaning to do something like this now for some time, i had the glitterd fairy sillohette from a broken christmas decoration & the idea came from there, then i seen this googled something one day & found this quote, here's how i put everything together

I used a material called fablon, in some places its called sticky back plastic or vinyl? I cut my letter's using my slice at all different size's

I then drew with a pencil soft grid lines so my lettering does'nt look too wonky!!
& stuck down all my letters in place

Taking care as to where im wanting to put the fairy

Once all my letters were in place i dabbed on 2 different shade of pink, i had a little helper see, it's for her room so she wanted to help, lol

& left it to dry

Make sure it's properly dry before you start to peel off the letter's, i did this using a craft knife & carefully lifting the sticker's until i can pull them off

When all the stickers were off, i had some letter's showing with pencil line's, i just erased them out!

& my finished project will take pride of place in my daughter's bedroom

I think im slowly getting back into the scrapping bug, which is a really good thing becoz i have missed it, since moving spaces nothing has come to me until recently!!

So starting off carol {http://carolmonson.blogspot.com/} over at the nook {http://myscrapbooknook.org/} challenged us to lift one of our recent favorite ppl to lift, so i chose nicole {http://www.nicolemartel.blogspot.com/} becoz i love her plain & simple style, but it obviously doesnt suit my style becoz i came up with this!!

Soooooo not me i just wanted to add more, so i did this to it instead

I still wanted to put something more on, maybe later?

So i had the day pretty much to myself 2day, got up in my own time, had a little pamper session, painted my nails, watched the royal wedding of william & kate & then created 3 page's

I love days like today!!!

Today me & my friend took our kids to blaise castle, we love it here & is always a hot spot with the kids, we took a BBQ & stayed all day, got some/loads of really good GOOFY photo's!!!

Here is one of the first ones i took & its in blaise castle grave yard that we have to pass through to get to blaise castle grounds, but the head stones & surrounding is just beautiful, old & corroding, but still very very beautiful, my friend said, "you cant take a picture of them here" ..why not?

...yeah it had to be my daughter that didnt smile nicly like the rest of them, lol

& here is the huge great big wooden/iron gates that lead you through to the main grounds, thought the way i have edited this photo was funny??

& this one was on the way home, both girls had new crocs on & both had blisters & didnt want to wear them, so we were joking around saying that they were orphans & "tut, what kinda mother are you to let your kids walk around with no shoes on" pmsl

Cant wait to scrap these picture's!!

Lilybee & Pink paislee

I can honestly say i thought i wasnt going to scrap for alot longer than this, i havent done a page for about a month & a half to two months now & i still have 5 more rooms in my house to decorate, but i have these kits in boxes still & they were calling my name, seriously i could hear them, lol, so today i got them out just to see if anything came to me & at first nothing did.

I had some picture's of me that i wanted to scrap & general idea, which then leads to another & another & so on...you know how that works? lol & before i knew it i had a page, this one with lilybee paper's is what i created first.

See this butterfly, i love this butterfly & it's been on alot of my recent pages

& this NON photo page with pink paislee/daily junk papers

This is what conversation happened one day in my garden

& there is that layered butterfly again, so versatilei love it!!

Im happy with both pages although i did'nt like that first one with lilybee papers at first but its the pink, i think? ...it's grown on me, lol

Kaci's new bedroom

I just finished decorating my dd's bedroom for the last 2 day's & she hasnt seen it yet, she's been at her nan & bampy house, they are on there way back & i cant wait for her to see it!!!

This is a spare duvet cover, just covering what toys {junk} she has hidden underneath the huge bed, i am in the making of doing her a proper curtain for this!!

...at least for a while, i got a house to sort out & decorate & that include's dismantling my scrap space & sorting through my stash also, i have decided that it has become way to big for my little house, i have been sharing my space in my bedroom, but now that it's summer & the kids want to play outside the whole time & i dont blame them but im moving my stash to the kitchen & as there is limited space down there too i have to down size, i dont mind at all i'd rather work with little more than alot, kwim?? So happy days all round

Home/doggie stuff

I got some good bargin's today in one of my favorite shop's TKmax, take a look at my new fruit bowl, how cute is this...

....the best part, it is suppose to be designer but i pulled the sticker of & now i cant say who it is??? AND it was suppose to £25.00 but i paid £5.00 for it becoz there are 2 very tiny little chips in the base, & you cant even see them unles i point them out to you, loving it!!!

Here is another purchase i just could'nt leave on the shelf...

Im not sure where this is going yet but it just HAD to come home with me!!!
it sit's on the microwave in the kitchen whilst awaiting a place to stay, lol

I also manage to pick up some doggie toys for like £2.99 each, they were good quality thick rope toys that if i was to buy these in asda or pets at home, they would be at least a fiver each & for my babies to just chew up & destroy i really dont like spending alot of money on, but if i dont then the kitchen table leg gets it!! lol

Ive also decided today that i do NOT like postmen, as i was heading home, almost home actually, i saw the postman come out of my house, i am awaiting some scrapbook parcel's, so i knew what it was, waving out for him to stop & pointing at my house, he just drove off, *royaly piss off sigh* how dare he, that was not very nice at all!!!

So my plans for a pantry idea went BANG!!!

This is a cuboard in my kitchen, that i was in the middle of turning into a pantry

I lined it with lovly wall paper too, & i was just putting up the shelf's up, when i very horribly discover the side wall's are solid stone, & the drill just was not going in....:-( <-SAD im very sad Horribly becoz now i have a pen line on my wall where i measured where the shelf WAS going to go & a drill hole also....*sigh*
So now it's just gone back to being a junk cuboard.

When we moved into this house, this was a 3x3foot square cuboard, but these houses {& i know becoz i have family & friend's who live in the same types of houses} their cuboards go right back & under the stair's, hence more storage....so we knocked the wall at the back of the cuboard DOWN,so we call this our cellar, becoz it's pure brick that i just painted white.

This is a favorite photo, i took after scrapping the other day, i love it becoz, the main focus is on the butterfly

& this is what i scrapped, ECHO PARK!!!!....CARD'S *gasp*

That was refreshing, i have'nt made ANY card's for a while, & i enjoyed this, it may become yet another habbit!!! lol

FOR EXAMPLE: If you found out that your 13yr old child stole from your purse...what your sanction be to him or her???

What would your sanction be if they didnt it AGAIN!!!

Yeah i know, GASP!!!!

My child had done this now for the 3rd time {this time £1.20} not alot of money, but the point is he stole!!!
The first & second time we grounded him for a week {1st..cant remember how much he took, not much, 2nd..£15.00}
The last time i took all his stars off his chart

{grounation in our house is confined to a chair from after school to bed time}
{if you think this is harsh it's not harsh enough in our house OBVIOUSLY!!}

{they all have star charts & each star is 20p so they earn pocket money & get paid every fornight as we do}

It's been one of those day's!!!

It really has, if you really want to know about it read on!!!

So we take the kids to school & go back home for some breakfast, i make a cooked breakfast, toast in the toaster, on our george forman grill, bacon, hash browns & sausages, then on the hob, beans & mushrooms & in the microwave...poached eggs, yum!! Half way through cooking on the george foruman grill, it stop's working, okay...changed the fuse, still not working, so that was the end of the bacon!!! The bacon the best part isnt it?? lol
The rest of the breakfast was still yummy.

Gary got his xbox fix whilst i got my internet fix, then my mum & brother stopped by, then after they left, i sighed a little, did some house work, complained i was bored, so i had an idea to go to B&Q {diy shop} & get some wall paper & shelf's so i can start work on my new pantry project, gary said he'd help out a mate with heavy shopping & so we set out in the car.

Pick's up shane {gary's mate} goes to get his shopping & then sets out for B&Q, along the way, two dogs run out & as we stop, they came crashing into us, {poor babies} one went away un-injured but the other, a staffy, {looked the same as my fur baby} he could'nt stop him self & as we stopped, he came crashing into us, knocked out the windscreen wash water tank & half the front bumper.

The owner's didnt have them on lead's they were running free, we took the injured dog to the vets with the owener & left to pick up the kid's from school. I have done nothing but worry about this poor little dog ever since, my mind has been shot, i was on the passenger side, where he crashed into us & im still seeing the image in slow motion now!! He dragged himself away from the car his back legs could'nt move & he was in shock

The owner's was going to put him down, they could'nt afford the vet anyway, so they signed him over, he's on pain killers for the night & they will send him to the dogs home tomorrow to be re-housed, it's so sad, i wish i was able to afford another fur baby becoz i would scoop him up straight away.

So tonight im going to pray this beautiful fur baby get a good loving home he deserve's & im still feeling bad...really bad :-(

I loved these paper's when i first got them about a month ago, then in my hands...zip....nothing, that & plus all my creative energy's went into wallpaper & paint, sanding & hammering

Im taking a break from decorating at the moment, saving up for this

....& possibly this...

& together they are going to work as an island in my tiny little kitchen, i still have loas of plans, i want to rip up my kitchen floor now & re-lay tiles, but it all cost money & time to save for it....happy day's x
